april

alrite so im really tired got tons of exams this week but im here doing my blog :) alrite so im still shocked at just how close this semester is coming to an end. Ive been bombarded with questions from seniors that went to my highschool about tech and most of them are battling between JMU and Tech. Honestly i had to tell them what i felt was the right choice...of course TECH! haha but yea thats always fun i feel so wise when they ask me questions like hjow much hw do you get? are the people nice? are the football games fun??? haha that last question i was like yes! youll never experience anything like a tech football game!! A few of them have visited with their parents and said they really enjoyed the campus and the weather ( luckily it was those days where it was sooooo nice outside). But yea back to me and this semester basically i have all my exams at teh end of this week and beginning of next week. So im probably gonna do as much studying ASAP. I cant wait for april with springfest at JMU and then quadfest happening over at radford. AND the big even and relay for life these just make april full of events to attend. Me and my 2 friends are headed to jmu for springfest and party because ill be done with exams. Then i haev a bunch of friends comin down to tech for teh Wale and N.E.R.D. concert on the second then theyll crash here and off to quadfest! SO april im gonna see a whole bunch of my friends and am soo pumped!Hopefully i do well on all my tests coming up so i can have fun in peace. haha uhmm but yea my friends are so excited to visit tech. My friends are coming from vcu and northern va and none of them have actually visited before so this should be exciting. alrite well back to chemistry -_- till then pc

nfl draft

sooo free agency in the nfl still goes on and im surprised my team the washington redskisn have not done much noise. I actually believe this is a good thing. As in years past we were given the title of champions of free agency (which is not good). Before the skins would sign players who were getting up in age and sign them to a contract you would give a 25 year old. We did sign Larry Johnson who is failry old but he still has some gas in teh tank, and his contract is fairly cheap for someone whos going to compete for teh starting job. I just think hes gonna push Portis to compete harder than ever, and go to the pro bowl this year! i think it all started with the hiring if Mike Shanahan. He is a well respected coach who has what it takes to lead this team in my opinion. Now i am not bashing Jim Zorn, because i did like him, he was just overwhelmed with the responsibilities a head coach has in the NFL. Back to the draft, what surprises me is that no one has any clue what teh skins are going to do with the draft. We have no idea of we are going for quarterbacks bradford, claussen, or go offensive lineman like Okung. then what would happen if the beast defensive tackles Suh and McCoy are available. The skins have the fourth pick so out of all the college players that are going to enter the NFL, the skins get to be fourth in line when choosing the best of the best. Maybe the skins will even draft some Hokies which would be soo awesome. Ed Wang would be a nice fit for the new offensive scheme teh skins are going to run, and we do need a corner,...maybe Virgil??? i am glad that the draft is getting closer and closer coming up in april. They have even had workouts with Tim Tebow, which i do not want at all. he may be the nicest guy in the world, but i just dont believe he could have success in the NFL. Many quarterbacks form Florida had great stats in college but stunk it up in the pros.

spring break

ok so my spring break started out with a loud bang. Like i said earlier i went to VCU and met up with some of my good friends there. Apparently i missed chipotle more than i realized because i was munching on that all the time over there. The weather there was soooooo nice. The sun was out all the time and there was a slight breeze. My friends told me that it wasnt like this at all the weeks before so i appreciate the weather for cooperating while my visit there. So my friend down at VCU plays the guitar and he was teaching me the song seven nation army by the white stripes. I actually really wanna learn the guitar, hopefully ill be able to get good at it during the summer! When i got back home on Monday my dad was happy that i asked him where he put the guitars. He started giving me little lessons so that was good time of family bonding. Of course my mom cooked my favorite dish which is Bolivian so all was good. Then i remembered i had a huge bio lab report due right after break....but i put that in the back of my head,....WAAAY back. My favorite moments during any break is when i take the keys from the counter and am basically free. So during the week i saw Alice in wonderland which was pretty different but good haha. I also saw the academy awards and saw Hurt locker dominate all night. Im happy for them because it was a good movie. On Wednesday i went to visit my friend at a hotel and had fun there. Ohh and i got my free seven day trial at xsport gym so i wouldnt get into too horrible shape while on break hahaa. Now that im back at tech, i feel good except for this daaaaamn lab report im writing up. Its probably gonna be real bad and am hoping for a re-write lol. well thats about it hope everyone else had a good break

its almost here!

I can not wait for it to be SPRING BREAK! just two weeks ago after taking my last exam, i was soo pumped. I thought that i was done, and that i could coast in all my classes untill spring break. Little did i know it seems like every professor just wants to squeeze a test right before break...>:| So now instead of just relaxing and thinking about what i am going to do for break, im here studying part of a pig and memorizing their function for tomrrows practical. And studying for my chemiostry on Wednesday, and in teh back of my head i know i have to study for my biology exam on friday....fun. Im sure many of us got screwed but ehhh guess we have to live with it. Anyway i can not wait for break to start. I do love Tech dont get me wrong, but i just wanna sleep in my own bed and be lazy for a week. I think i have earned it hahaha. A friend and I are acutally going to go visit some of our friends at VCU on friday nite and stay there for the weekend. For some reason colleges dont have the same break, but me and my friends solved a way for us to hang out. Last time i visited them was during halloween and it was crazy! Then me and my friend will be heading back home to fairfax and probably sleep in all day monday. I cant wait to see my little cousin whos birthday is on wednesday he'll be happy i could come to celebrate it with him. And now Tech may have the best food in the country, but do i miss my moms cooking. I cant believe i took it for granted the last 18 years. I know she'll defnitely have something deliciuos cooked up for me when i arrive. Then i plan on teaching my yuonger brother to drive. So i will be taking him to some empty parking lot and basically telling him that if he crashes my baby hes a goner for life. So i cant wait for this crazy week to end and teh CRAZY week of spring break to begin!!

alrite so this story is REALLY REALLY bad and wtf?!?! haahha. For detail i got too much homework, for settings i got a girls dorm and for character i got a woman who keeps poisonous snakes as pets. Remember now i just wrote, no time for planinng ahah its bad i know lol

In a small town not far from the city, there was a boy named Rick and he was 12. He missed his older sister Susan because she had gone off to college and she was his best friend. Every week Rick; with the help of his mom, would send her care packages filled with cookies and cards. Rick was a good student at school, and this year his class was going to go visit a college; his sister’s college. Rick was so happy that he could visit his sister that he called her with the news. She was also ecstatic but warned Rick that no matter what he better not go into her room when she is not around because she has too much homework laying on her desk. She knew Rick likes to touch things, so it was a good point. When the field trip day came, Rick told his teacher that he would be spending the night at a girl’s dorm room instead of the hotel like every other kid. The teacher looked puzzled but then remembered Rick had an older sister who went there and agreed. When the kids got to the campus, they spent the entire day going to fun events and ate at the dining halls. Susan came up to Rick when she saw him touring the college store with his group and gave him a big hug. Rick didn’t like hugs from her in front of all her friends but he was ok with it since he did miss her. She told him that she would pick him ujp from the hotel at 6pm and already discussed it with his teacher. When 6 o clock came, she did just that. She showed him the dorm building she stayed in and some of her hall mates. He was so curious as to what the girls rooms would look like he was also happy with all the attention he got. Then after 2 hours of socializing, he asked Susan about her roommate. Susan paused and said she was different than the girls they were used to back at home. Rick thought nothing of it and just shrugged. When midnight came, the two of them were walking to her dorm, but Susan wanted to grab something from the vending machine. She told Rick to stay put in front of her room until she came to open it. Rick agreed but wondered why he couldn’t just wait inside of her room. So when susan left for 45 seconds Rick just decided to barge in. As susan walked through the hall, she saw rick screaming and running. Behind him was a poisonous snake and rick jumped onto Susan and Susan hissed at the snake. The snake made an immediate stop. She then told Rick that her roommate was a woman who keeps poisonous snakes as pets. She said don’t worry they’re trained. Rex just wanted to play.

no snow, how bout swim???

Alright so thats the pic i was talking about earlier with drew brees and his baby after at the end of the game. It just makes me miss football already. :( Anyways so this week i really screwed up my knees because i was being dumb at the gym with some of my friends. Now i cant even run, which is kind of a good because i am starting to swim again. I swam for my highschool and have been swimming competitively since i was 11 so i love this sport. Its also a good way to get some cardio and will be easy on my knees till they get better. Theres soo much i love about swimming i dont even know where to start. I especially love the feeling when you havent swam in months and when you jump in, you kind of panic and forget what its liek but after a few seconds your body and lungs get used to the water. I am so glad my dad got me to swim at an early age, otherwise i have no idea what i would have been doing during my summers. Not only was swimming fun, but it also is very useful. I find it surprising how there are a lot of people who do not know how to swim. Everyone should know how to because its so fun and good exercise. Its always a good feeling when you go to the beach, a friends pool and you know what your doing. Can easily get from one spot to the other by gliding on the bottom or on your back underwater. Me and my friends would purposely sink (let all your air out) and have competitions on who could stay sunk the longest. The best games we played were marco polo and sharks and the meadows. Marco polo on the deep end is so fun, its basically everyone holding their breathes at the bottom of the pool and "marco" has to wait for someone to get off the bottom in order to tag them. It gets intense because youll see people push off the bottom soo fast and quickly get out of the water in seconds. People jumping in and the stand offs when its just one vs one. There are a few rules but i dont feel like going through them haha. Then sharks and meadows is where there is one shark, and everyone has to cross from one side of the pool to the other without getting their head tapped over the water. They way we used to play is anything goes besides ripping off goggles. So people would be wrestling under water for like 45 seconds, no one wanting to go above water. If you get tagged then you become a shark, it would suck to be teh last person because then you would have like 20 kids as sharks and haev to wrestle all of them.....a very hard thing to do. I just cant wait till its summer with all this pool talk hahah. I have had enough of this snow :/

Doritos, good to eat, and good at commercials

So i dont konw if its just me but i feel like every year the superbowl commercials get weaker and weaker. I feel like before almost every superbowl ad was hilarious and good. Now this year i actually thought there were good ads. I think whoever came up with the doritos commercials should get a raise because those were the best. The one where the dog takes the anti bark collar off and puts it on the guy who was mocking the dog was priceless. But my favorite had to be the one with the kid and when he meets his mom's date. He reaches for the kids doritos and the boy slaps the man saying hands off his mama and hands of his doritos. That was soo funny and i swear as soon as I logged onto facebook this morning everyone had that commercial as their status.
This is the second year where Doritos have done well with their ads. Last year they had the crystal ball commercial and that was hilarious. Now on to the game. I am so happy the saints won, there wasnt a team/ city that has gone through as much as New Orleans has. Them winning the superbowl is a happy ending for the league. It was also a priceless photo of Drew Brees holding up his baby when the celebration started, the whole thing just had a heart warming feel to it. I am looking forward to what next years headlines are going to be during the superbowl and of course....the commercials!!!
